By sensing and exposing the metaphorical that hides beneath the physical, Elghamry discusses the process of remembering, where we may create a space to probe our identities vis-à-vis the world and discuss the illusions created by our memories which are nearly always based on fragments or parts of our reality.   By dissecting her practice through three parallel panels, the memory, the reality, and the imagination, Elghamry analyzes and investigates personal archives to trace and reconstruct elements that were never documented and to make imaginative leaps of their reality.   Elghamry uses different media to dissect a volatile perspective of the same concept, with a large focus on the viewer’s interpretation, heavily influenced by the collective culture and the philosophy of our mere existence today as a result of the past.
